Chris Guy (R-Maryville, Illinois) was elected to the Madison County Board in November 2018. Guy currently serves as Chair of both Finance & Goverment Operations and Executive Committees and serves on the following committees; Judiciary and Personnel & Labor Relations. In addition to his duties on the County Board, Chris serves as Vice Chairman of the Madison County Transit District Board and is a member of the legislative committee for the Illinois Association of County Board Members.
Chris Guy also serves as an advisor for Intersect Illinois. Intersect Illinois provides data, site selection assistance, and connections to companies looking to grow in the state.
Guy was elected Maryville Trustee in April 2017 and previously served as Collinsville Township Trustee from 2013-2017. Chris Guy is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a degree in political science and minor in business management.
As a taxpayer, you have the right to know how your tax dollars are spent, which is why Chris Guy posted the township finances online - detailing every expenditure of taxpayer dollars. Guy rejected the annual 3% pay raise, opposed pay raises for elected officials and he voted against every tax increase. Madison County Board District 25 consists of the following communities; Collinsville, Maryville, Glen Carbon, and unincorporated Collinsville Township.
